The Comedian Makes A Hip Hop Album

A few years ago, “Jesus Is The One (I Got Depression)” went viral on the internet. It came from comedian Zack Fox and producer Kenny Beats. Zack featured on Zack’s internet show ‘The Cave’ where the producer would have guest rappers come on, and you witness the process of a song being made by scratch. Since Zack wasn’t an actual rapper, he improvised and came up with a hilarious song. Fast forward to 2021; Zack now has a whole project in under 20 minutes.

Zack is in character because a lot of the lyrics are filled with tough talk. A lot of punchlines, a lot of gun talk, all with a comedy twist, of course. Some songs come off as rough ideas and freestyles. There are only two songs that seem like actual songs with full ideas that last longer than two minutes. “Get Off My D**k” with Kenny Beats, a groovy jam that samples a Big Pun and Tony Sunshine deep cut and the title track to the album, “Shut The F**k Up Talking To Me,” produced by The Alchemist.

If he wasn’t a comedian and this was the first time we heard of him, people would be calling him one of the new rappers to be watching out for. But since he’s a comedian, this album is to be taken as a joke.
